TÜV-Rheinland operates a laboratory in Cologne for testing solar modules. Alongside TÜV's solar laboratory in China, this laboratory is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the world. The solar modules are approved and certified on behalf of the manufacturers. 70 percent of manufacturers have their products tested by TÜV Rheinland.
